Tank Car Cleaning
KRS is the only North American shop that offers automated technology for cleaning tank cars and PD hopper cars that is safe, highly efficient, and offers consistent tank car cleaning outcomes. Our system consists of two robotic cleaning arms with a pressure washing wand on each that enters the car instead of a person. Each arm is equipped with either a 3D or 2D cleaning head with lights and a camera to allow the operator to inspect and direct the cleaning.
Our flare and steam system allows us to flare and steam up to four cars at one time. KRS maintains a wastewater treatment plant and vacuum system to handle and treat all waste removed from the car. This system will allow us to wash continuously and reuse over 90% of all water without waiting on vacuum trucks to return from the disposal.
